Conference Announcement & Call for Papers
Following the success of IFLA Dublin 2023 and IFLA Nashville 2024, we are delighted to announce that the third annual International Future of Law Association Conference will take place at London South Bank University (LSBU) on 3–4 July 2025.
This year’s conference theme — Generative AI and the Future of Legal Education & Research — will explore the transformative impact of emerging technologies on law, pedagogy, and scholarship. The event will be co-hosted by the Association of Law Teachers, continuing our collaborative work on shaping the future of legal education, and will include sessions hosted by the Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London and the LSBU’s Digital x Data Research Centre.
We invite proposals for papers, workshops, or panels on (but not limited to) the following topics:
• Integration of technology into the law curriculum
• AI, data, and innovation in legal pedagogy
• Legal research in the age of automation
• Regulation and governance of AI technologies
• Ongoing legal education research of interest to IFLA members

• Keynote Lecture: Professor Orit Halpern (Technische Universität Dresden), leading theorist in digital cultures
• DxD Panel: Legal Digital Infrastructure – insights from academics, practitioners, and technologists
• A programme of peer-led paper sessions, networking, and collaborative workshops
• AI & Law workshop with Professor Dan Hunter, Dean of the Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London

The conference is free to attend, but registration is essential.
