Association of Law Teachers Workshop on Teaching Law & Technology

ALT are developing a guide to teaching all aspects of the impact of technology on the law, justice and legal services and this workshop aims to initiate discussion on the topic.

We are looking for PechaKucha (5min 40 sec) presentations on the following themes:

  • Technology & Substantive Law Subjects
  • Regulating Technology
  • Online Dispute Resolution and the impact of technology on Access to Justice
  • LawTech & Litigation – e-discovery & digital evidence
  • LawTech & Legal Practice – contract automation, smart contracts & blockchain
  • Technology, Ethics and the Rule of Law
  • Data-Analytics, Data-protection & Cyber-Security
  • Teaching LawTech Skills – Design, Teamwork, Project Management – and the impact of Technology on Careers in Law
  • Intellectual Property & Cyber-crime

Each set of presentations will be followed by discussion.

The event will conclude with a panel offering international perspectives from the International Future of Law Association  and a keynote speech from Professor Richard Susskind.
