London South Bank University is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for the Masters programme in Cybercrime Investigations taught by LSBU’s Egyptian partner, The British University in Egypt.
Appointments are made in line with QAA advice and guidance and are for a 4-year fixed term period, commencing immediately subject to University approval. The deadline to receive expressions of interest is 1st September 2023
The post-holder will:
- Have experience of teaching and learning within the respective subject area at FHEQ Levels 4-7.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Ideally, applicants should have experience of external examining in at least one other HEI, but this is not compulsory.
- Not have worked for London South Bank University in the last 5 years.
You may be required to travel to the location of the relevant partner to attend the exam board once per year (the other taking place online) where all travel expenses are covered.
Compensation is based on 2 tiers. All External Examiners will be appointed to the Tier 1 module boards and compensated £600 for the year upon receipt of the final report. Exceptionally, some External Examiners may be appointed to Tier 2 award boards, and this attracts an additional fee of £200.
